Music For Percussion and Electronics
Perth based percussionist Louise Devenish new album Music for Percussionist and Electronics will be officially launched at the Totally Huge New Music Festival Launch.
Developed from three instalments of Devenish’s solo recital series Music for One Percussionist, this release showcases a range of current approaches to contemporary percussion music through the realisation of new and existing repertoire by Australian artists.
Of the thirteen works presented in the recital series between 2014 and 2016, four appear on this recording; works by esteemed composers Andrián Pertout, Stuart James, Cat Hope and Kate Moore. Each of these award-winning composers have made significant contributions to contemporary music, and the works presented on this disc are no exception.
Out through the Tall Poppies label, the album will be available for purchase at festival events or through the Tall Poppies.
